ISEEE policy on direct endorsements of products or manufacturers
It is the policy of the International Society of Environmental Enclosure Engineers, a not-for-profit organization, to refrain from endorsing specific companies or products. This policy applies to all communications and activities conducted by the organization, including but not limited to social media posts, press releases, website content, and events.
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the organization maintains its independence and impartiality, and to avoid any conflicts of interest or the appearance of such conflicts. The organization's mission is to protect the lung health of equipment operators through research, education, and consultation in the field of environmental enclosure air quality engineering, rather than promoting specific companies or products.

Scope:
This policy applies to all staff, board members, volunteers, and contractors when representing the organization.
Prohibited Activities:

The organization will not make any statements or representations as an endorsement of a specific company or product.

The organization will not display or distribute materials (e.g. flyers, brochures, posters) that promote a specific company or product.

The organization will not enter into any agreements or partnerships with companies or individuals for the purpose of promoting their products or services.

The organization will not use its name, logo, or other intellectual property to endorse a specific company or product.
Exceptions:

This policy does not preclude the organization from mentioning specific companies or products while discussing industry trends, research findings, compliance with ISO 23875 or other relevant topics.

Research findings which are posted on the organization's website or in posts regarding said research.

Individual member’s posts which describe engineering controls used in an application.

The organization may consider making exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis if it determines that the endorsement aligns with its mission and values and does not create a conflict of interest. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.
Enforcement:
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of association with the organization.
